Legacy Dinner
“We just need a good memory. If we can imagine it, God can do more!” – words spoken by David Horita at the Legacy Dinner on October 14th.
David inspired and reminded us of the great things God has done and continues to do across our region. He spoke of the incredible work that still lies ahead as we carry out our vision to “innovatively develop relationships and resources that will propel every Fellowship Pacific church to be accountable to their gospel mandate”.
The purpose of the Legacy Dinner was to raise both short-term funds and legacy gifts which will enable Fellowship Pacific to continue to provide resources to our churches now and into the future. Lorne Jackson of Advisors With Purpose provided a valuable overview of ways to leave legacy gifts to churches and the Fellowship through wills and estates.
Jim Zelinski did a fine job as our master of ceremonies - thanks Jim!!
Thank you to our 70 guests for your gifts and to Baptist Housing for their matching funds. Together, we raised over $18,000. Baptist Housing is committed to matching up to $25,000 this year, so if you were unable to attend the Legacy Dinner and would still like to help us reach our fundraising goals for 2017, we’d love to receive your donation. Please visit our website to donate online or make your cheque payable to Fellowship Pacific and mail it to us at P.O. Box 1107, 9111 Church Street, Fort Langley, BC V1M 2S4.
