NEW DATES!
Our next Pastor Credentialing event is happening November 20-21, 2023 in Surrey, BC!
Our Pastor Credentialing is a free two-day event where you get to connect with other leaders and hear from our team about what it means to be a part of this incredible network of churches and ministries that we call Fellowship Pacific. And new to our credentialing process this fall is the addition of the Safe Sanctuaries Seminar: Nurturing a Culture of Safety and Dignity in the Church!
Schedule
Day 1: Fellowship Pacific Orientation
At Orientation, you will learn about Fellowship Pacific and what it means to be part of this family of churches. Topics include Fellowship Pacific mission, vision, and values; our history and partnerships; our statement of faith and code of conduct; and ways to connect and find your people within the network. You will also have lots of time to connect with other leaders and get to know the Fellowship Pacific staff team.
Day 2: Safe Sanctuaries Seminar – Nurturing a Culture of Safety and Dignity in the Church
Safe Sanctuaries addresses our growing awareness of abuse within church contexts, preparing church leaders to understand, recognize and appropriately respond when we encounter these issues within our ministries. These wide-ranging discussions will help us to create prevention strategies for ourselves and our churches, review necessary documentation and develop proactive strategies for intervention in abusive relationships.
As per a motion of the governing Board of Fellowship Pacific, the Safe Sanctuaries seminar is a prerequisite for those desiring credentialling within our family of churches. It is designed to help create safe places for those who attend or are involved within our churches and ministries.
**NOTE: Attendance at both days is required for credentialing.
