Brian was born in South Korea and lived there until he was thirty years old. He completed a Bachelor of Theology, Master of Divinity, and Master of Theology in South Korea. He studied for a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Ministry in Canada.
After completing his DMin, he started work at Northwest College and Seminary as an assistant Director of the Korean language Master of Divinity program and as its internship coordinator in 2016.
Before coming to Canada, Brian served in church ministry as a pastor for 6 years, and has now served for over 18 years in ministry at several Korean churches in Vancouver. He is currently a lead pastor at Vancouver Alive Church in Burnaby.
Brian is passionate about multi-ethnic churches and pastors and loves to encourage pastors to connect with local churches. He looks forward to using his experience to further serve the Kingdom of God.
When not working, Brian and his wife Jieun enjoy walking around with their four children—Ellen, Amint, Emmanuel, and Logos.
